PATIENT BILL OF RIGHTS

It is our desire to provide the
residents of Hazard and the surrounding communities with the finest medical care
available. Our ultimate purpose in this practice is to help our patients. We
feel the best patient-provider relationship is a result of mutual regard, communication
and understanding. In our endeavor to strengthen this relationship, we have adhere
to the Patients's Bill of Rights.
- Patients will be treated with dignity, respect and
consideration.
- Patients will be provided with a safe environment and
appropriate privacy and confidentiality of care.
- Patients shall be accorded impartial access to treatment and
prognosis.
- Patients or legally authorized guardians will be provided,
to the degree known, complete information concerning their diagnosis, treatment and
prognosis.
- Patients will be given the opportunity to participate in
decisions involving their healthcare, unless contraindicated for medical reasons.
- Patients have the right to expect the clinic to give
necessary care to the best of its ability and refer or transfer to appropriate personnel
and institutions when necessary.
- .Patients will have access to information concerning patient
rights, responsibilities, available services, fees for services, payment policies, and
provision for emergency care.

Dr. Wicker elected into ACP
fellowship |

Dr.
Mitchell Wicker Jr. has been elected a Fellow of the American
College of Physicians (ACP), the society of internist. The
distinction recognizes achievements in internal medicine, the
specialty of adult medical care. Dr.
Wicker was elected on the recommendation of peers, and the review of
ACP's credentials subcommittee. |
