HEALTH CARE SCREENING FOLLOW - UP VISITS
Physical exam
  • Weight
  • Blood pressure
Laboratory / Diagnostic procedures
  • Urinalysis for bacteriuria, protein, and sugar
  • 15-20 Weeks - Maternal Alpha-fetoprotein or triple screen
  • 24-28 Weeks - Report Rh(D) and other antibody screen if indicated.
  • Hemoglobin / hematocrit if indicated One hour Gtt in targeted group
  • 35-37 Weeks - Group B Strep screening as per physician recommendation
  • Ultrasound as medically needed
HEALTH CARE SCREENING FIRST PRENATAL VISIT
History
  • Teratogenic exposure(exposure to chemicals that can damage the baby)
  • Genetic history and obstetric history
  • Dietary intake
  • Tobacco / alcohol / drug use and risk factors for growth retardation and low birth weight
  • Prior genital herpes lesions
Physical exam
  • Weight
  • Pap Test
  • Blood pressure
Laboratory / Diagnostic procedures
  • Urinalysis for bacteriuria, protein, and sugar
  • Hemoglobin / hematocrit (blood test)
  • ABO / Rh typing (blood test)
  • Gonorrhea and Chlamydia when appropriate
  • Screenings as per physician recommendation

Dr. Wicker elected into ACP fellowship

 

Dr. Mitchell Wicker Jr. has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the society of internist. 

The distinction recognizes achievements in internal medicine, the specialty of adult medical care.
